Tower of Warmth
With the UK still struggling to shake the chill of a long Winter, the area around The Tower of London is quieter than usual for this time of year. Still, with two 13 degree days several weeks ago, the area briefly filled up with people eager to bask in the soft sun, taking in the remarkable architecture of Tower Bridge. The below image captures this perfectly. Optimistic with sunglasses, the polarised lenses produce an unworldly reflection in this fleeting portrait. The man was a lone traveller, yet seemed completely content with enjoying London alone.

The same cannot be said about this Father. He looks less than pleased with being caught in frame, but the positioning along the horizontal line, and the focus effect on the other left line with the lamp and background bridge, is extremely effective. Supporting his daughter after a seemingly long day sightseeing. The below couple seem to be enjoying each other’s company – totally engrossed in each other’s love and being.

Finally is the shot of a young child running across a path with city workers behind. A child’s innocence is something special and the focus captures this perfectly.
