Late Night On The Tube

Late nights on the Tube, everyone has them. Whether it’s a night out on the town, leaving the office after a long shift or just your everyday travel, it’s a part of London life. Last Friday I photographed those sharing the journey. This man could have come from a work do or just a long Friday – who knows. That’s the fun of street photography – making up the story behind it.

The below photography is a Northern Line train floor tile – I’ve never noticed how abstract and colourful they are until now. It’s funny what happens when you focus on the little details.

What about your trips on the Underground or Subway – I’d love to see your photography from beneath the urban centre. Show me in the comments below or on Twitter.

That means a lot of people and a lot of photographic chances. The lack of space in rush hour is the perfect time to work as people jostle for space on the trains. They’ll also be out of their comfort zone, sharing space intimately with strangers. [...]

after walking down Tottenham Court I was accosted by three British Transport Police !
